Stained glass windows: “Let Them Come to the Waters”

Transfiguration Catholic Church, Marietta, Georgia

One entire wall of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel depicts the Bay of Capernaum. Christ walks on the shore. Where He has passed, the seas have calmed, yet out ahead of Him the storm surges. His gesture is not commanding the seas to still but rather inviting, offering the quiet strength centered in His presence. On the horizon a small vessel sails out of the storm’s turmoil towards this harbor refuge.
